Laws are called as set of protocols. In cricket, Laws are framed by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). MCC is based in London, which consults with ICC whenever there is any change in cricket rules. Different formats of the game have different set of Laws. In the year 1884, rules pertaining to size of the cricket ball and the number of players to be in a side were formalized. Throwing was allowed in the Law introduced in the year 1829 and over arm bowling was introduced in the year 1864. The length of an over was four balls before 1889 and it was made to five balls in 1889 and finally in the year 1900 it was made to six balls for an over.
