DVD is a replacement for video compact disc. DVD can store more information than the compact disc. DVD store digital video and digital sound. Earlier a movie will have 2 to 3 disc. But after the invention of DVD, even we can save 5 movies in a single DVD. And also life of the DVD is very high when compared cds. DVDs supports more file extension than a cd. Now even DVD is getting replaced by blu ray disc. So nothing is permanent in the world. Everything is getting replaced by latest technologies in the market.
